Some 20 million Americans currently suffer from some form of Thyroid disease and this number is growing each year. Shockingly, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) and the American Thyroid Association (ATA) report up to 60% of those with Thyroid disease are unaware of their condition.

Undiagnosed thyroid disease puts patients at risk for certain serious conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis and infertility.

Females are five to eight times more likely to than men to have thyroid problems. Pregnant women with undiagnosed or inadequately treated hypothyroidism have an increased risk of miscarriage, preterm delivery, and severe developmental problems in their children.
